12th ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 News
The 12th ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 will be hosted by England and Wales. The schedule is set to start on 30th May 2019 and will run till 14th July, 2019. The Oval stadium will host the opening match this year and final match is set to be played at Lord’s. England and Wales previously hosted the ICC World cup in the past. They hosted in the year 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999 as well. Unlike Football Tournaments will various groups or pools, the Cricket World Cup 2019 will have a single group that consist of 10 teams as against 14 teams in the past years. Each team will play once with the other nine teams.
The top four will be selected for semi-finals. Then as we already know, semi-final to final and the winner will be announced after the final match on 14th July at Lord’s.
New Team at the Cricket World Cup 2019
The recent progress by teams Ireland and Afghanistan award them with a place in the ICC ODI Championship. Afghanistan then qualified the way through the World Cup 2019. We shall see how they perform in the World Cup level.

Lord’s Cricket Ground
Lord’s Cricket Ground will host a total of 5 matches including the final match. This famous cricket stadium at Middlesex in London has a capacity of about 28,000. Lord’s is commonly known as the Home of Cricket.
The Oval or Kia Oval (after its sponsors) will be hosting a total of 5 matches. With a capacity of 25,000 it is located at Surrey in London.
Old Tafford, Trent Bridge, Rose Bowl and County Ground
Old Tafford in Lancashire, London is scheduled to host 6 matches including semi-final at it’s 26,000 capacity stadium. Trent Bridge, Rose Bowl and County Ground will host 5 matches each in their respective stadiums in the Cricket World Cup 2019.
Edgbaston, Bristol County Ground, Sophia Gardens, Riverside Ground and Headingley
Edgbaston will host a total of 5 matches including semi-semi final. While the other stadiums will be used to play 3-4 matches during the world cup.
