IPL Auction 2019 – Indian Premier League 2019 | All Teams Squads

IPL Auction 2019

After all the hype and noise finally, IPL Auction 2019 held on Tuesday 18th December 2018. All 8 franchises participate in the bidding process and tried their best to balance their IPL Squad. IPL Auction took place in Jaipur where an epic amount of Rs 106.80 Cr. was spent to buy players services for IPL 2019.

Below is the look of every franchise’s squad for 12th IPL season:

Chennai Super Kings

CSK retained the bulk of their players so they don’t have to play a major role in this year’s IPL auction. They somehow strengthen their pace bowling by picking up Mohit Sharma. Mohit Sharma participated in Yellow jersey except for last season.

Delhi Capitals

After renaming their franchise from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals, they let go a lot of renown players which create agape in the balance of the squad. To fill the gape, Delhi bought some good young overseas players. They strengthen their bowling attack by mixing some performing domestic fast bowlers with retained international stars.

Kings XI Punjab

KXIP’s lack of middle order form cost them the playoffs place in IPL 2018. They were highly dependent upon their openers, especially on KL Rahul. This is the reason for which they refurbish the squad’s balance. Kings retained only 10 players and letting go of several big names. By selecting a mixture of some batsman, all-rounder, and another mystery spinner, they balance their squad in all departments.

Mumbai Indians

Like CSK, MI also retained most of their important players and had a little work to do in the auction. They selected two old warhorses to strengthen their experience. Mumbai also selected some young guns to provide support and serve as good backup options. With all the aspects covered MI didn’t need much and also nothing to be disappointed.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB changed their way a bit in IPL auction 2019 as they also preferred to pick young players like other franchises. They strengthened their middle order and finishers spots other than Captain Kohli and de Villiers. But one of the big problems they faced last year was their death bowling issue and this time again they didn’t pay much attention to this.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH retained almost all their squad as they only bought 3 batsmen. They went aggressively for some young talented middle order batsmen but weren’t able to win the bid. So that they go for their 2nd option to chose Martin Guptill in the end. Other than that they have covered all departments in the retention.
